Movers and shakers join commercial real estate org’s board of directors

CREW NM Announces 2018 Board of Directors

Commercial Real Estate Women New Mexico has announced some new faces who will be taking the reins at the professional organization.

Commercial real estate professionals, meet CREW's new board of directors for 2018:

  • President: Justine Deshayes, principal business relationship manager with Wells Fargo Bank
  • President-Elect: Michelle Franks, CFO for Studio Southwest Architects
  • Treasurer: Heather Fox, asset manager with Wells Fargo Bank
  • Secretary: Jennifer Greenwood, division president with Stewart Title

Effective Jan. 1, organization's new directors will be: Kelly Mancha, VIP Insurance Services; Martha Carpenter, NAI Maestas & Ward; Alex Pulliam, Enterprise Builders; Katie Schroeder, Heads Up Landscape Contractors; Sherry Read, Century Bank; and Alex Borgeson, Rockefeller’s Cleaning & Restoration.

Some of these women have made headlines before. Pulliam was one of Albuquerque Business First's 40 Under Forty honorees and Borgeson was making strides in June to take over her family's companies, Rockefeller's Cleaning and Restoration Co. and Rockefeller's Construction.

CREW is a professional organization of people in the commercial real estate industry with branches all over the country.

Though commercial real estate is known as a male-dominated industry, more women have been promoted to leadership positions within commercial real estate companies not just locally, but nationwide. The 2015 Benchmark Study Report, a study by CREW, showed an increasing number of women in senior vice president, managing director and partner roles at commercial real estate firms.

The No. 1 commercial real estate firm on our List is CBRE New Mexico with $481.25 million in 2016 commercial transaction value.
