John Henderson III to Retire at end of December

John Henderson III, Director, specializing in the investment and leasing of office properties, has been highly recognized as a leading member of the Albuquerque real estate industry for over 40 years.

John has been the recipient of many real estate industry accolades including recognition as the REALTOR of the Year for both Commercial Association of Realtors New Mexico (CARNM), and Greater Albuquerque Association of Realtors (GAAR). He was also named Sales Manager of the Year by the Albuquerque Board of Realtors.

An article written in the Albuquerque Business First so eloquently stated “Colleagues of John M. Henderson III say he is responsible for sparking Albuquerque’s close knit brokerage community decades ago,” which nips at the core of how John Henderson shaped the Albuquerque commercial real estate community.

Henderson is known for recognizing opportunities and going the distance to ensure these opportunities translate into the foundations of success. John cofounded CARNM, the Commercial Association of Realtors New Mexico, and LIN, the Leasing Information Network, both central informational systems that are now used to increase collaboration and communication among the commercial brokers in the area.

Some of Henderson’s high profile recent transactions include the sale of the historic Simms Building in Downtown Albuquerque for $1.75 million and more recently the sale of a $2.4 million warehouse space with 52,000 square feet in the Sawmill District.

During Henderson’s career, the industry has seen significant and positive changes. Thanks to Henderson’s drive and motivation, he was at the forefront of implementing some of these changes. Henderson’s love of the industry and dedication to his clients means he will continue to work from home on select transactions, while enjoying time with his grandchildren, woodworking and with his wife Trudy.
