Don’t Miss One-of-a-Kind Autism Clinic Open House in Albuquerque
STIMULATING MINDS OPEN HOUSE
THURSDAY, AUGUST 16
4:00 — 6:30 PM
6100 Seagull St. NE – Suite B202
Before Stimulating Minds Autism Clinic opened its doors this month, New Mexicans with Autism had almost no way to receive their various therapies and services all in one place, much less having them administered through one comprehensive and coordinating team of professionals. But now, thanks to Stimulating Minds co-founder and clinical director Jeanne Duggins, LISW and her team of therapists, New Mexico families will have that option.
“It was very troubling to me that people with Autism in the Albuquerque area had to go to different locations across the city to receive services. Providers are not always centrally located and in most cases the communication among therapists is limited. I wanted to change that,” said Duggins. “At our clinic, people with Autism benefit by receiving all the services they need under one roof. And those services are administered by one team of therapists who work in conjunction with one other. I’m very excited about what this means for our clients.”
The need for quality, coordinated services for people with Autism is great. One in 88 children in the US is now diagnosed with some form of Autism Spectrum Disorder. Stimulating Minds offers access to services such as speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, applied behavioral analysis, family/individual therapy, and more.
NAI Maestas & Ward Advisor Shelly Branscom represented Stimulating Minds on the real estate transaction. In 2008, Shelly joined NAI Maestas & Ward with more than 18 years of experience in commercial escrow and title insurance. In her current position as a key member of the office team, she specializes in office sales and leasing. Shelly also specializes in the leasing and sale of school properties.
Shelly’s in-depth commercial transaction experience as a senior escrow officer often involved dealing with very complex and detailed title and legal issues that required complete and satisfactory resolution prior to the closing and funding of the commercial transactions. Her commitment to her clients, both sellers and buyers earned her the 2012 NAI Maestas & Ward Customer Service Award.
“It was a great pleasure to help Stimulating Minds find the property they needed at the price they could afford,” said Branscom. “Any day that we can help a new business get a solid start, especially one that provides such critical services as Autism therapy, is a very good day. I wish Jeanne Duggins and her clients all the best, and encourage anyone who may be in need of Autism therapy for themselves or for a loved one, to stop by and visit the open house on Thursday.”
