John Algermissen, CCIM
Director
John Algermissen is a New Mexico native that grew up on a horse ranch in the south valley of Albuquerque. He played a strong role with the family business throughout high school and college. John’s life has evolved around business, which is why he found Commercial Real Estate to be a natural fit. John is an advisor with NAI SunVista Commercial Real Estate, one of the top brokerage firms in the state. John’s in-depth understanding of business and the New Mexico market help him navigate successful deals for his clients.
At the University of New Mexico John studied finance and management information systems, gaining valuable knowledge of business structure and operations. Before joining NAI SunVista, John was a program manager for Montech Inc. which is one of the fastest-growing government contractors in the state of New Mexico. John was responsible for the oversight, procurement, and development of company contracts. John managed deals to help Montech become one of the top local contractors in the state. It is this same professional strategy of market knowledge, customer service and dedication that John approaches Commercial Real Estate.
At NAI SunVista, John specializes in the retail asset class, representing some of the most notable shopping centers across Albuquerque, assisting leasing efforts to stabilize or maintain stability with assets, and consulting with investors on healthy tenant mixes. John also deals with the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of retail and residential land, completing deals with national tenants and local developers. John represents and negotiates on behalf of large national and global clients.
When John is not in the office John is in the outdoors golfing, mountain biking, skiing, or helping out at the family ranch.
